When Women Rise Together, A Call for Solidarity

"Sisterhood is still powerful." – bell hooks.
Sisterhood transcends blood relations; it embodies a profound reverence for the divine feminine within each woman, fostering bonds of respect, trust, and support. For too long, women have been told to shrink. This pressure comes not only from men but also from within our own circles, perpetuating patriarchal biases among women. When one woman shines too brightly, she risks being ostracized. If her life seems more beautiful, successful, or fulfilled, she may be subtly or overtly urged to dim her light.
This pressure to conform and hide is not just a social dynamic; it is a survival strategy rooted in centuries of betrayal, fear, and patriarchal conditioning.
History holds the scars of women who dared to be different. Those who spoke too boldly, loved too freely, or possessed gifts of healing, science, or intuition were often punished- ostracized, silenced, or even burned.

"I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own." – Audre Lorde.
The witch hunts weren’t only literal; they symbolized a deeper truth: a woman's full power threatens the status quo. Many women went into hiding not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally. They buried their brilliance to survive, betrayed their instincts to belong, and learned to mistrust each other, fearing that exposure would lead to exile.
Even today, these patterns persist. When one woman thrives, others feel pressured to conform. If one is beautiful, others compete. If one finds love, others question their worth. The game of thrones continues, where advancement often comes at the cost of authenticity.
I know this pain intimately. I hid for years, unaware of my concealment. I didn't understand why the fear of being seen felt safe, why the fear of judgment seemed normal, or why being “too much” was common among women. As I peeled back the layers of trauma, I realized my emergence wasn’t a threat; it was an invitation. The more I stood in my truth, the more I allowed others to do the same.
I now dream of a world where every child can be born into a conscious community that celebrates her uniqueness rather than asking her to suppress it. A world where women uplift each other, not out of duty, but out of reverence for the divine spark in every soul.
Solidarity Is a Revolutionary Act
"We are linked, not ranked." – Gloria Steinem.
When one woman heals, her light ripples outward. When one woman succeeds, she opens doors for many. When we stop seeing each other as rivals and start seeing each other as allies, we begin to rewrite the story.
I encourage my soul sisters to imagine a world where women choose celebration over comparison. Where hidden gifts are not just used quietly but shared boldly to transform lives.
A shift is happening. Women are choosing to see one another with love, not fear. To stand beside each other, not above. To rise together, not alone.
Let’s make solidarity the default:
Compliment another woman today.
Share her work.
Stand beside her when she takes a risk.
Speak her name in rooms where she is not present.
Every act of support chips away at the walls that keep us apart. Together, we can bring this wall down for good.
With love and light, Salana Aura
